I'm an ancient coin collector and am not impressed by a coin's age. I'm not asking if this is some sort of double-die error or something that's going to make me rich. I photographed this coin then threw it in a jar along with a bunch of spare change. But in the change machine at the grocery store, I was struck by the color and luster of this Lincoln cent -- like I remembered when I was a kid -- and knew it wasn't a zincoln. I looked at the date and said to myself, "It's as old as I am and in way better shape!" It made a trip to the store a little more fun.
