    Hello all,

move been waiting for this piece to come in and have been pretty excited about it especially because I’m venturing into the colonials so I thought I’d share it with you guys as well! I feel like I got a decent deal on it especially looking into the coin a bit more. This is the 16.3 N variety and matched it with pages from a colonial coin book that I will attach as well. I tried checking it out on PCGSs app for pricing for the grade but for this variety it says N/A but it looks like pricing pops up around XF I believe. How do I go off pricing when I do decide to sell this? I tried picking around online and was unable to find much, thank you in advance! P.S. I don’t feel like the quick pics I took do it any justice and almost feel ashamed! I've come to realize that unless it's in AU condition, it's hard to get a good shot . Then again my skills are limited ,lol . I have friends who have dug up MA coppers as well. Nice Colonials ! My town was est. by MA in the 1600's . My town was est. in 1683.

For some reason I thought this variety was harder to come by especially because how much I saw some going for but thank you for letting me now! I know I’d try and get it graded possibly but due to the wearing on the edge of the coin I don’t think it would grade straight? But colonials could be graded differently

I don’t know to be honest I’ve sold some colonials that were lower grade maybe fine or around there and they blow up. They usually always sell a lot higher then other coins I sell such as and seated Liberty varieties or Morgan’s and such!

Common in the U.K maybe , but here just a joy to own . I've found several detecting and love it every time I dig one up .

It is an R2 which is 501-1250 known. Variety really only matters to variety collectors. When there are more collectors looking for a particular variety than there are coins available, that is when the prices really go up. That being said, this is a pretty nice one, and collectors want the nicest of each variety they can get. It all depends on how many people are looking for a particular variety at a given time.

It is a 16.3-N. R2 is the rarity of this variety, which means there are between 501 and 1250 known of this variety. It really is a nice coin.

i feel dumb now lol! Thank you it is very nice on the eyes! Do you think this coin would grade straight even with the wearing of the rim?

No idea, I don't know anything about the process. Most colonial collectors seem to prefer their coins raw. The only Connecticut I had in a slab didn't stay in there too long after I got it!
