    Muzyck Rabbits!

I recently won a lot of 10 "Islamic" coins that has been a challenge. I bid on it with interest in an Assam Half Rupee that was obvious from the photos in the listing. There were a few other moderns included that were easy to identify but there were a number that are ancients and one other that looks like an India Native States Rupee, but I can't find it looking through the Krause "Standard Catalog" ranging from 1700 to 2000.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

This one wouldn't fit in my initial thread...

My gut reaction is that this is from the Guptas, or possibly one of the other various dynasties that copied the Western Kshatrapas. I might be able to narrow it down eventually, unless someone else feels like doing so.

Thanks. I'll start researching based on that info. I was sure I had a similar coin tagged but have been unable to locate in my binders.

Thanks! Looks like a Kumaragupta I silver drachma, c. 415-455. I did not recognize the ear.
