"He knew she was bad for him, but he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Her eyes, lips, and especially the wire rim St. Gaudens hanging from her neck......it was love at first sight." Isnt this the neverending thread??:eating: Jim

Ebay seller to beware of Ah, now that I have your attention. Just kidding. :goofer: . I collect old first generation Morgan dollars. I bought an 1880-s MS 63 in the old holder on Dec. 12th. I paid for it at once with Paypal. With no word from the seller I e-mailed him on Dec. 16th, asking him if he had shipped coin. He said yes and gave me the shipping number. I got A coin on Friday the 19th. It was a PCGS 1883 Morgan in a new PCGS holder. I e-mailed the seller again telling him of the mistake, and he claimed he had sent me the coin I won at first, and then later told me that I had still got a beautiful coin and I should keep it. I filed a complaint against him with Paypal. He finally agreed to refund my puchase price plus my shipping, but he didn't even do that. He did not refund my shipping his wrong coin back to him. Finally, yesterday, I got my money back in my bank account (minus my last return shipping). I e-mailed him a couple of times about the rest of my money, but he will not answer. The seller was art-coin-currency Now I am not someone who will run someone down intentionally for no reason. But someone who does business like this is someone to watch out for. I guess I was just mad when I started this thread before I could finish it. Now, a month later I am older and wiser.:thumb:
One of the things we look for on the CFE Group is listings that use stock photos and say the coin is similar to the one in the picture. That violates Ebay's Policy and is an easy way to scam buyers. Would you mind posting a link to the actual auction so we can scrutinize it for "flaws". Ribbit
Hey Peter we need a new mod someone who can fearlessly go where no coin collector has gone before to keep up with this
Ebay seller to beware of Since I don't know much more than how to turn this monster on and type, I have no idea as how to post a link. I can give you the ebay auction number. (#270313702156) This gentleman had good feed-back for the most part, with plenty of positives, and a few negatives. Don't know why if he was going to scam someone he would do it on this coin. It just makes me wonder if someday he might do it with a high dollar coin. Oh well, as Chief Dan George said in The Outlaw Josie Wales; " Endeavor to persevere, that's what I'm going to do."
