Its an O-129 R4 Cherrypicked on the bay. notice the break in the L in pluribus, thats the indicator for those who care. : )
Oh, I think I might qualify with numbers but far from knowledge, just not ready to join a club. Besides I like my freedom. : ) Actually I might jump towards that later this year, There are a few that need to be upgraded, and I want to complete a few of they year sets before I do it. Personal goals, you know how that goes.
Thanks guys, I really like the hunt with these BHD's. Fits right in with my other passion, Large Cents. Varieties galore.
Jim: Did you see the article in Coin World this week, January 12, 2009, about the large cent errors? Interesting read.
Frank, I did read that, I vaguely remember that auction. Great article and some useful information. I like the Weak Strike remark.. that was classic.
It looks like a dot in the middle of the L in PLURIBUS. The pictures are not big enough to see it good, but I can make it out.
Ya they are getting tougher by the day too to find. Seems like every show I go to there are less and less. I do have dealers looking for me too.
Well, Actually I didn't see the break, what I did see was a light spot in that area in their picture and always watching the I to T relation. Most of the dates in the BHD series have something that you can watch for in the rarer coins. Just a matter of studying the coins and trying to remember what you read. Sometimes when I get bored I go to ebay and just start at the top and start attributing them for practice. Ya I know, I need to get a life.
It seems you have a good life And a good education as well. But if your bored I have a few suggestions for threads to nominate Ruben
