whats up wiht this walking liberty?

    i got this in a lot of 25 from a guy who cleans out estates for an incredible deal and saw this, i figured it was extremly polished but even the reeded edge has the same luster, pics dont do it justice

    Somebody worked it over with a buffing wheel.

    And worth, IIRC, about $4 as scrap silver.

  7. it's definitely polished... for some reason people think you will increase the value of the coin if it's shiny no matter how worn it looks.

    thats what i figured,the rest of this lot was great. good think i paid under scrap for the lot:)

    I was thinking more like enhanced. Some things are nice enhanced, coins are not. Buffed and rubbed. All though you paid under scrap price for the lot, nice.:thumb:

    polished ---terribly. I hate those estate guys. they destroy a ton of coins.
