Many of you have been looking for a copy of Breen's encyclopedia. There is one on eBay right now, current bid is $3.01. Good luck. http://cgi.ebay.com/Walter-Breens-C...14&_trkparms=72:1205|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318
nice find there treas. Now seriously, if you don't own this one people, you should. Now, we'll wait and see how many people say they don't need "generic" numismatic literature.
It will be interesting to see if the available online version brings the price of this down? They usually go for $200-$250 and sometimes more. I picked mine up for $75 so I got lucky. Nice of you to help someone get one, since they are getting harder to find. :thumb: Now if only you can find a decent Chain Cent for under a grand? Just send the link to me, don't post it. Ribbit B-)
I paid about the same as HT from the library. It was only checked out twice in 2 years and one was me, so I asked them and it was a done deal.
I wouldn't mind another copy to replace my second one that's falling apart, but I think I'll just stand back and let someone who doesn't have a copy get one.
dag-gone-it Frank.....no wonder I kept getting outbid That will teach me not to think I'm going to get one heck of a deal..... Ah well---I already have a copy... Speedy
No problem....I was just picking on you Any time there is a good book on Ebay I think we need to post it here on CT. Breen is one that most every collector should get. Speedy
Here's a good one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310114130481&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNARL:US:1123 I'd get it but I'm not buying anything right now until I get the business on its feet. Ribbit
I paid about $120 for mine, it reeked of tobacco smoke when it arrived but that has mostly dissipated. Then I discovered there was a copy at the local library!
Agreed. Hey, just noticed that you are on LI. Are you going to the RT 110 show tomorrow? I'll be there from about 8Am to around 11 AM. Ask for George, and ask him where Frank is.
