That's interesting because I have studied that illustration quite a bit and have it sitting on my desk and I thought this looks nothing like that at all in my opinion. Thanks
Way more than I'd like to admit! As well as error reference.com and others. I've read a lot of Fred weinberg's Mike diamonds and John wexler stuff as well.
This is one I was comparing to. I'm trying to find my photo that matches the doubling on the e and we.
I checked Ebay and all the ones listed are inclusive in my eyes as a true double die . Did you see one listed on Fred's site ? I've communicated with him. Nice man. Send him good Pics, maybe he will look also but it's early . Many others will chime in .
One last request. On the 1970 , can you get a pic of the sides of the date and the rest of the coin close-up ?
It has to be beyond a shadow of a doubt. It still looks "shelf-like" . It has to look like same height double wide , with separation lines and notches .
Yes I did see that one and I'm just wondering if this is in an early die stage of that one possibly. Just a thought.
Yes I understand that and I'm not completely without knowledge here. I have talked with a lot of senior members here trying to learn stuff and they've been a great help. I always like to say either it is or it isn't. Right
all the one's on ebay look like MD also . That's why maybe their selling them "raw" . One sold for $1 ! I'm not sure , I guess.
