    Iwoud try not to place aby coin in an aromatic environment, but if I had to. it would be a slabbed coin. In any case, aromatic or not, I's put in a few "dry packets."

    Mahogany is the only wood there is that is recommended for use with coins. Best is not to use wood at all, but if you are set on using wood - mahogany is it.

    Yes, many of the old time coin cabinets, and the ones that are still made, use mahogany.
