    ..WOW!..a great gift from a fine person...i've wanted one o dese bare bottomed reverses every since i saw one! :)...a big shout out and thanx to our friend Ryro for an early Christmas/birthday or whatever reason he gifted me this lil beauty, i am elated! thank you Ryro! :)

    This Venus is the later version of the mint formerly known as Emesa or Laodicea but more safely just 'Syrian'. On these the reverse legend was changed to VENER VICTOR (from the usual VICTR). Style on these varies quite a bit and I'd call yours pretty good. We all wish our coins would be high grade with pleasing surfaces and fine style but reality makes us fortunate to have one of the three.
