Congrats, @ominus1, replete with vicarious gratitude to @Ryro. ...Not that you needed it from here, but that's some stuff.
If you like I can send you a cheap coin? I'm not high rolling enough to be able to gift butt-Venus silver coins (yet..)
If you’re you want send me a PM. I can send you a coin worth $10-15 on the open market if that’s alright
The ancients forum at CT is the BEST on the net!! What a nice thing to do! But @Ryro is that sort of guy!
This Venus is the later version of the mint formerly known as Emesa or Laodicea but more safely just 'Syrian'. On these the reverse legend was changed to VENER VICTOR (from the usual VICTR). Style on these varies quite a bit and I'd call yours pretty good. We all wish our coins would be high grade with pleasing surfaces and fine style but reality makes us fortunate to have one of the three.
Huge congrats, @ominus1 ... great coin, and super generosity, @Ryro ! Great Karma, and Nameste India- Shakya Janapada AR 5-Shana 6th-5th C BCE Buddha Ref-Hiramo-I-8-29 R
