i am really starting to get interested in coins because of metal detecting. i forgot about some coins i had gotten from my grandma, my grandpa used to collect. some of the coins i have are: 1912 d half dollar which is slightly turned on the reverse 1963 d half dollar (2) 1964 half dollar 1776/1976 dollar also various other wheaties and nickels o yea and a 1934 twenty dollar bill i have scanned the twenty and the 1912, if you want to see pictures of the others just say so and i will scan them.
That is a nice start to a collection. But those that your grandparents gave you, those will always hold a special place in your collection. Do you have a holder to put that bill in???
no no holder to put the bill in. i have it folded up in with a bunch of 2 dollar bills. probably not the best way to store it. i assumed it wasn't worth a holder since someone used a counterfeit marker on it and it lost any value it could have had.
If you would like me to send you a holder, let me know your address. Dont tell me here, but send it to me in a PM. Ill send you a holder to protect it.
I'm not sure that was a counterfeit marker. I thought they were a yellow color and turned dark if the bill was bad. Over time the yellow will fade away to the point you can't see it any more.
