Let’s see the photo, I might be net graded for being over dipped. Surface preservation doesn’t tell the whole story. The OPs coin is clean and extremely lustrous.
I'm giving it a 64 even though I think on a good day the TPGs might well call it a 65 for the luster bump.
You have me a little confused. In your first post you told us that your grandmother gave you this coin and the seller graded it EF. Then you said the EF grade went with a Morgan Dollar which was totally separate. Now I guess you have found out that your grandmother bought the coin from Original Skin Coins and they assigned a grade to the coin. Do I have that all correct? I visited the Original Skins Coins website and they have Choice Uncirculated Peace Dollars for sale for $45 which is not a bad price. Choice Uncirculated translates to MS64 in the graded world. Most of the respondents of this thread believe your coin to be MS64 or MS65 so I say she did okay.
Okay... to clear things up... I assumed the grade, so when I said I "graded" it, the Peace Dollar, I was saying I graded it low because I didn't want to get ahead of myself... Yes, My grandmother bought it from OriginalCoinSkins.com and they assigned the grade Choice Uncirculated (MS-64) for $45... Now the Morgan Dollar... When I bought the Morgan Dollar the guy (I assume) either graded it himself or had it graded EF.
In my world, as an E-Bay seller, the only ones who get to use the numerical grade of MS64 are the TPGs. For your coin, I will stick with CH BU.
