This is about 95% silver. I got this Half-Dollar at the same Flea market I bought the Morgan Dollar. I believe this is mirror proof. It is a beautiful strike. I don't know, but I don't think it has ever been touched.
It is a proof. They made a lot of these Washington commemoratives, though, so it isn't worth a lot more than melt value. Better for keeping and admiring than for making a profit. (BTW, it's 90% silver, just like your silver dollars.)
Nice proof coin, 90% as for all United States silver coins other than war nics and Trade Dollars. If you don't have a Red Book, buy one. You can probably get a 2020 book cheap right now and, since the coin prices in it are not that good, it would be pretty much as good as far as information.
two words that send shivers down the spines of coin collectors .. "Flea market" ... but it looks like a good find, and authentic too.
Normally it would too... but the guy even told me which ones of his were fake and which ones were real
Careful! Rob, AKA @lordmarcovan already explained to you that Buy/Sell/Trade is not allowed on open forums.
I wasn’t trying to sell or trade... I never even said I was... I’m confused? All I said was I would probably trade... I never said I wanted to or even on this forum
Yes, I did! What you need to understand is that the way you phrase your comments can easily be interpreted in different ways.
or "which ones he thought were real" I'm going to assume the guy was not a known coin expert and especially a known fake coin expert. Many coin shop owners can't identify good fakes much less know about many errors/varieties.
