Latest Theft - Very Identifiable Coin

    Date: 10/1/20
    Offense: Theft
    Location of offense: Denver, CO
    Investigating Agency: Denver Police Dept.


    Details:

    The coin pictured below was stolen from a dealers table at the Denver Coin Show. The suspect was a white male who identified himself as Steve Dupont and gave an Englewood, CO address.

    An AU-58 was estimated by Legend a couple of years ago at $18,000-$20,000.

    Not sure if it's the same coin, but collectors.com had one exactly like this for sale at $39,500.

    My guess is, we will soon go to many coin shows with video cameras throughout the whole coin show building. :D What you all think??

    our club's local coin show has cameras at the front entrance which record everyone's face, and their ID is also required to enter the show.

    Nice, ours here in Sacramento doesn't have any cameras in any of the locations that I've been to. Also last year I went to a show in San Francisco and they didn't have any cameras either. That said, I don't think our shows here in California are as big as some of the others, that's for sure! ;)
