I'm not trying to be pompous. I'm trying to thoroughly explain what I see and describe the condition of the coin. I'm not trying to come off as condescending, I'm trying to help others understand what's going on with the coin.

There is such a thing as overkill and you have done this in your first post to this thread.

 

What's more useful: a paragraph or two explaining what I'm seeing and why I grade the coin the way I do, or simply stating "AU-55"? One of these seems far more interesting to me. Clearly you disagree.

Brevity is what I try to practice in my responses. My opinion is your response was a bit over the top.

That is because it is a very tough one to call.

 

I find peace dollars difficult to grade because of the quality of the strike and my poor eyesight, however, I try.

 

Not sure what you mean... 56% of people correctly identified that this is a circulated coin.

 

What is the final tally?

 

I posted a pic. AU 58. Classic slider. Anywhere from AU 58 to MS 62.

 

90% of them are probably younger. Lol

My count is 14@AU and 22 or 23 @MS.

 

I realize I am late. But I felt this coin circulated a little.

 

His numbers are off and then there are the after the fact posters.

 

The majority identified that it is, indeed, a slider.
