@Morgandude11 your example being a 65 helps as I find that to be the minimum threshold some of the upper-end buyers set....I'm guessing it went for a strong price (above the $2k mine resold at).

Mo' juice = mo' money. The question I have is whether or not the coin was returned when it didn't match the advertised vibrance.

I followed the seller's listings and it was not returned (at least I did not see it appear on eBay again). If I recall correctly, I even saw positive feedback left.

Ok, first, that 63 is in a PCGS rattler holder and is probably a 64 or 65 in reality. Secondly, I said I wouldn't pay $2K for a toned MS64 Morgan Dollar, and nobody has ever accused me of shying away from toning premiums. The coins you showed above from Legend & Stacks are nice, but no way are they worth north of $2K. In fact, I didn't see a single coin that I would pay more than $1K to obtain.

I do not care for the color on the 1883-O because it looks juiced. I would prefer the 1885-O from the photos.

I was just linking examples that I found that sold for over $2k. I agree with you that none of those 64s would make me spend that much. The 63 is the only coin that I would (and I believe it resold for well above the ~$2.8k to the person that currently has it).

The first picture of the 83-O (mine) is fairly accurate. I did mention in the original post that the following pictures of it were juiced by the person who resold it.

I deleted the pics as it will be the next coin I post on the monster game, but yes—it sold for $3100, and then again for $4750.

I bought it in an auction for $499 in 2007.

I don’t like toners at a ridiculous prices. If you don’t like that, tough. If you attack me for saying that, I’m done with you.

I don't attack people for what they like or don't like (I don't think I've done that here either). I understand that plenty of people don't like toners or like them but won't pay a premium. That's perfectly fine. I don't like tons of items but do like toners. Even with the items I don't like, I pay attention to the market for them. For example, I am no fan of MS 70 Silver Eagles but I can realize that they will sell for more than spot (regardless of how much I would pay). Similarly, I don't dabble in Seated or Barber coinage but again I know it's not worthless and that plenty of people like them and will pay quite a bit more than I would.

Honestly the 83 looks like barely a 63 with a huge color bump. That cheek is rough. The 85 a much more appealing coin regardless of color
