I got this in a set from US Mint, looking thru I saw what I thought was a thumb print on outside of blisterpack. Looking closer I found this. 20200930_094142.jpg 20200930_094513.jpg 20200930_093945.jpg 20200930_093913.jpg 20200930_092955.jpg 20200930_093127.jpg

Thank you, Mr Weinberg. If you wouldn't mind could you explain a bit about how these swirls of gold color happened? I thought most staining was ugly and dark from circulating not one that I just removed from plastic pack? This looks like a van Gogh painting. LOL.

Someone had to handle the Cent to properly put it in place before the pack is sealed. They just didn't properly clean their fingers before doing so.

Thanks paddyman98, it looks cool, and good example for me to share with grandson.

On the obverse the “IN” from in God We Trust looks like doubling or just the was light is hitting it.

I looked at it again and must be just reflection. No doubling. Lots of vertical abrasion lines.

I agree, most are crappy. But even if it is just a stain on this one, I kind of like the look. It will probably get crappy with time, but for now it's a keeper. 20200930_093851.jpg

Kinda neat looking but a shame at the same time. I'd leave in the original mint packaging and if you want a set that doesn't have this it should be easy enough to find one.

And that's why you don't eat jelly donuts before your shift packaging coins.
