The term Trinary is a hype word used on planet eBay to describe a note with nothing else going for it. Trinary is to paper money collecting what monosodium glutamate is for flavorless food.
Thanks, It is one of my favorite pieces. The only Repousee coin I have. I found it about 4 years ago in a box of U.S. tokens that a dealer had. It's a 1913 LWC and at one time was gold gilded.
Here's one of my older Error notes. It's a CSA note. To view the error look at the 2 hand written serial numbers. Both bills have the same serial number but that's not the error. They are from the same sheet and the plate numbers are different. The bill on the top is plate number 5 while the lower bill is plate number 6. The Treasury's signature from plate number 5 runs onto plate number 6. Again, that's not the error. The top bill has both hand written serial numbers of 69771. The bottom bill is the error note. The left serial number is 69771 but the serial number on the top right is different. It was hand written as 6977. The last digit, a 1 was left off. This is a wonderful note and a rare error. It's rare to have 2 bills with the same serial number, the signature on one note being on both notes and two plate numbers in sequence. Then add in the error on the serial number.
Upside down the "A"'s look like goats heads and the serial number? 06600600 Missing "In God We Trust" on the back . . . . . Atheist bill for sure . . . . . Z
Thank you. I have a number of CSA Notes, including a Radar Note, a couple with signatures and a few errors. I also have the lowest know serial number of one of the issues. The number is 00002.
It's a cool serial but not something I would call fancy. The important thing is it got you excited. That counts for something.
My first CSA Note was the Cannons and Horses, very common but still a $40.00 bill. Some are worth thousands. They are fairly easy to find but doing so at the right price is the trick.
