This morning I was handed a thick bank sleave of notes. The story goes while cleaning out the house of a passed relative this person found a very large stash of money. This person brought it to the bank and deposited it. The teller needed to have the amout verified by my friend the head teller and to her surprise there were many sc's and usn's. The receiving teller had first dibs and apparently I got the left-overs. $50 all together 20 sc ones, four sc fives, and two usn fives. Wish I could have seen the nice notes But I am very-very happy to have this group at face value!!! She picked them up before christmas so it may be to late but I asked her to go back and check for any older frn's. I'll post pictures tonight when I have normal access.
Silver Certificates and United States Notes, two different types of currency that are still out there. Still legal tender, but worth more than face and their Federal Reserve Note counterparts.
It will be Friday at the earliest before I find out if there are any old Fedral Reserve Notes. Here are the pictures of the notes I did get
Not a bad haul for face I like the star and a couple of these notes are in nice condition for their age!
Aw, man....need to live in a bigger town or figure out how to bribe the local tellers for things like this....... Smaugy :thumb:
Darryl... Very nice.... On the SC Series 1935 and 1935A look for the Mules!! On the back look for micro plate #s 436-929 The reported M-A notes have only 3 notes known..worth big bucks! I cant make out the numbers on the pics... RickieB
