1984 Lincoln Penny-Large Rim Error Obverse?

    Hi guys,

    I have this 1984 Lincoln Penny with a large error on the obverse rim (left). Can someone please explain what this is and how this can happen?

    More likely what @expat posted, IMO.
    If that were Lincoln's finger print on the coin, it worth be worth a few dollars. LOL

    I think it's a folded over finned rim as stated but it's on Zinc.
