Thanks! I just love Transylvanian coinage/ esp. those under the Ottoman vassal princes. However the issues of the HRE are nice in their own right. That coin would have been unaffordable in a US auction, where it likely would have slabbed as a MS-66/67/68?

I suspect it would be unaffordable to the majority of us anyway. ;)

But I regret I did not get any of the Talers. Glad someone had a good auction !

Yes, the Talers (Transylvania/ HRE) went high, as everything else did, seems prices are on steroids. I have a question, seen some Leopold I Talers in FDC/ Pannonia Terra Auction, coins never toned/ oxidized....still that intense original silver sheen. Almost a miracle that these remain untoned.

Great coin and great to see panzerman back! Must be snowing in Canada now so you can come back to CT and show us some coins.

Don't know the answer. Sounds a little suspicious.

    Thanks Al!
    It weighs 0.87g. 15mm.
Probably same size as a AV Tremissis (Western Roman Empire)

No snow yet! Actually was trimming hedges all day, got up to 28 celsius, so no shirt/ and three Coronas (spaced out) for refreshments:) But, the sunsets here now at 7:00PM/ thus I only work 12 hrs a day, and have some free time for CT!
