This is a coin I found at the end of last year while coin roll hunting a 500$ box of halves. I had noticed the weird protrusions and set it aside, wasn't until later I picked it up and realized its beauty a truly wonderful coin this is, with slight toning! Personally this is one of my favorite coins in my collection! I want to get it graded, as it's something I will hold onto for a while, though I don't know its value.

Anyone see this before? I know it is a die clash, but don't know beyond that. Also I'm very curious to see if anyone has any Kennedy errors or your favorite coin roll find!

Nice find. I just finished searching 5 rolls of Kennedy halves and found nothing. Surprisingly, most of them were heavily circulated.

Wow, that's neat. Pretty prominent clash, and quite obvious as to what it is. Nice find.

Nice clash. I would put it in some type of holder to keep it safe. Having it graded would cost too much.

You also need to pay to have it Attributed.
Grading is for the condition of the coin.
Attribution is to verify the Mint Error. ;)

I don't think it will grade above AU55, but that clash is insane and worthy of attribution.

Save your money! If you want to protect it, put it in an airtite.

I found this Kennedy missing the clad layer in a Mint bag 16 years ago. I submitted it to NGC because the grading and attribution were free. The reverse still looks as bright as the day I found it.

I agree attribution is the way to go. Great find.

It wouldn't hurt to get it attributed. You can probably get yours done for under $10 including shipping at CONECA by Jason Cuvelier, who is great. Send him a note and ask about it, if you'd like: cuvelier1@gmail.com

I thought the main reason a coin is sent to a TPG for verification is to make sure a questionable aspect of the coin was genuine. Why would you need attribution of the OP’s coin when the clash is so obvious? Is it really worth the money? I don’t think anyone would argue that there is a clash.

The attribution is the verification. If you send the coin only with a payment for grading that's all you will get on the label. Attribution fee is separate. I know because I have had about a hundred mint errors graded and attributed by NGC.

I tweaked the photos for you to get them a little more contrast . . . . .

I don't think I've ever seen one before. I think it is beautiful. I would like to see it after you send it to NGC. Thanks.

What I meant was why bother to have it attributed if it is so apparent that no one would question it. What real value would attribution bring in THIS case?

A Die Clash on a Kennedy is rare.
    I like it.
I would pay a premium for it.
Especially if it was attributed and Slabbed!

If attributed I would be more likely to buy it slabbed than raw.
