US Serial Number Errors

    In today's fast moving world, most people pay no attention to the currency they spend, but a few of us pay attention to errors and oddities on notes and this site specifically deals with serial numbers and their rarity.

    I'm always looking for mismatched serial numbers.
    Not too many people know about them.

    Thanks for sharing!! I have a $5 at home that is missing the over print. I've always assumed it was a forgery, looks like I need to take a pic and post it here to see what others thing!!

    I've been "lurking" for a couple years, but decided, recently, to sign up.I made a thread over in the Currency forum, but I'll share here too. According to the folks on the thread it appears to be real and it appears to be, either, a printing error or an alignment plate test that got circulated.
