http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/dacowardlylion We have found a new and clever way to get people to bid $8 on a worn out and thrashed Eagle Cent! Neat-O!
So if see this correctly I could buy a pound or two of no date buffalo nickels, scratch an X in them, and sell them for $18.50 or better as mint rejects. Hm.............gosh, I still have to sleep at night.
It is very unfortunate that people bid on this nonsense. It is more unfortunate that I quit selling on eBay... /start rant due to excessive seller fees, and burdensome rules //end rant ...because I've got a ton of these things, and I would love to sell them for such generous prices. At these prices, my junk box of culls is worth many thousands of dollars.
Oh, my bad, it's the fugazy overdate cent that he's got to $8, I mean the corroded G details '58. It's the king of culls that the clown has up to $18.50. See? Ignore ethics and you too can get $18.50 for a $1 coin! And eBay certainly won't say anything!
Yes, but I have dealt with you before and you were very patient, helpful, and honest. It was a very pleasant experience I hope for both of us. Plus you probably don't know how to make the X look like it was done by the mint.
This guy has a "maybe" overdate slq, and a "maybe" overdate fe cent. "maybe" someone will bid big in hopes of a bargain!
$18.50 Plus $6.95 shipping plus insurance , not bad for a cull . Wonder how he sleeps at night . rzage
I shot him an e-mail about the SLQ, the response was hilarious. Something along the lines of "Well I don't think it is but some people think it might be" Who? Idiots?
Who is the bigger fool - the person who puts an auction up like that or the fool that believes it? The worst part about it is that people will believe anything - you could probably buy some 1882 shield nickels and sell them as "from Custers last stand". And people would believe it.
How can people sell stuff like this, and I can't even sell quality coins at cheap prices!?!?! It's crazy!!!! Phoenix
