Welcome aboard! Pass on that 93-CC though!

I wouldn't buy the coin based on the photographs alone. Taking pics of a coin, at that angle, in weak light, can hide a multitude of sins.

A 93-CC is not a coin to be buying raw off of eBay IMO.

Thanks and welcome. People post counterfeit stuff from ebay here all the time and sometimes we get the auction pulled. Ebay would rather make their profits than worry about counterfeits, unfortunately.

You're right. That does look like a bad one. And he grades it AU-50?! LOL! Look how clean it is! If it was real, it would grade a MS-66 at least! Complete scam artist. He should be banned.

right, there is now way a 93-CC would have surfaces that clean.

if you look at the chinese replicas you will see that the date on this coin looks just like those, no doubt about it.

someone is going to get hosed for a couple grand it looks like, unless ebay pulls it!

    Rats, missed seeing it.

I just got an 1893-CC as an upgrade to my Morgans.
Only a VF-30, but that was the best I could reasonably afford.
