I've got a bunch of them so I thought I would post a few up. We'll see if this thread gets any traction. The first one is for @dwhiz  It's one of my favorites, the 1986 proof silver dollar commemorating the Trans-Canada railroad. The train is shown with Vancouver in the background.

I think this was the first Canadian commem I ever bought. The 1985 silver "Moose" dollar.

Another one I'm fond of - 1997 "Canada's Best Friends" silver half dollar set. Bonus points if you can name the 4 breeds, all Canadian.

I think this was the last one I ever purchased, as the RCM began spiraling out of control, issuing too many coins and too many of them wacky, IMHO. It's the 2003 silver dollar, commemorating the discovery of cobalt while an arctic fox runs by...

I have the "Big Coin" beaver nickel that I purchased at the Winnipeg mint in 2015. I probably paid too much and I doubt I'll ever get that money back, but it is a dang big beaver nickel.

    Does "commemorative" include 1939, 1949, 1958 dollars?

This one really spoke to me when I first saw it.

    Correct, correct, wrong, wrong.
(hint: the Northeast dog is really more at home in the northwest.)
