Great answer, I was thinking the same.
Before starting to argue about seeing or not seeing the "S", we need an explanation of why only the mint-mark has vanished and not the rest of the coin.

    So am I misunderstanding this?

    "About Mint Mark Punches
Until the 1990s, dies for branch mints were hand-punched with the mint mark, and the size and location of the mint mark varied depending on where and how deeply the punch was impressed. Before 1900, the punches themselves varied greatly in size. Nowadays, mint marks are added directly to the master dies, and are transferred along with the coin designs to the dies that are used to strike coins."

They have and you have rejected their knowledge and input. On top of that, from what I can see, you seem to enjoy taking everyone on wild ghost chases . . . . . .

Wtf are you talking about? I'm "questioning their knowledge" so I can learn genius, not because I disagree with them

Geeezzzz... there's a lot of arrogant idiots on here I'll tell ya... I haven't argued that this is a 1909-S VDB at all this entire thread. As I've said multiple times I'm trying to learn

What is it, exactly, that you wish to learn?

Kevin, you do know that you can send coins into ANACS for authentication fairly cheap, at least compared to the other TPG, don't you? If you aren't happy with FREE advice from knowledgeable folks, spend some money to send it in and then post the results on CT so we can all learn.

I'm arrogant because I said "No" and "You can't make things appear that just aren't there"?

My 7 year old has better burns than that.

You have received a number of "thoughts", but choose not to accept them or do not understand the response.

Obviously you didn't read the whole thread. Or I missed the response to the other question I asked due to there being so many useless people in this thread

Its not that I'm not happy with the advice, I asked a couple questions and then I get attacked by a bunch of rando's taking my questions as "not accepting" their knowledge lmao. Am I being punked?

Yes, you are misunderstanding something, not sure what. If, as you stated, the MM you perceive is in one of the 4 known locations, then it's one of the 4 known dies. The MM can't be "weakly struck" on your coin from the same die that produced every other strongly struck MM in that position. You're grasping at straws.

If you view the responses from the "useless people" with such contempt, why do persist in pushing buttons? Also, you should be careful of the acronyms you type, not cool.
