1964 Kennedy - DDO, QDO, or poor eye sight?

    Good morning folks,

Was looking at my 1964 Kennedy half and noticed something I'd not seen before -- the B in Liberty appears to have some doubling..?

This has been slabbed PCGS PR68; however, having never noticed the doubling, I didn't request Variety Attribution. I believe in this case, PCGS would not label it DDO/QDO even if they'd noticed it, but I could be mistaken.

What do you think? Any experts on the series care to point to the specific places on the coin which show it is/isn't DDO/QDO? I've found there are three variants: FS-101, FS-104, and FS-105; but I'm having a hard time differentiating key doubling areas. Any help appreciated!

Thanks, Rick. It was late; figured my eyes were playing tricks on me, but thought I'd get some opinions.

The "I" has a hint of it, also the bit of hair to the right of B. The reverse has some too, particularly "OF A". On proofs I don't know how you can tell if it's on the die, MD, or a result of them being struck more than once.

Thanks, KBBPLL. Not sure I see anything on the reverse, but I did see the I in Liberty. Also, saw little more of same in the U of Trust.

Machine doubling could very well be the case here, just not something I'm a pro at. Looking to get educated

    From the TrueView max size:

Of course we're seeing microscope-level magnification here.
