I brought my daughter a folder for Franklin Halves and I'm trying to find a source for lose Franklins in decent shape, fingerable, for her. Everywhere I look I find either slabbed Franklins or prices over $11 each which I think is high, but maybe I'm wrong.

Does anyone have a decent source?

With melt value being in the neighborhood of $3.80 I understand your concern. Lots of dealers got burned with the fluctuations of silver. Apparently they're unwilling to lower their prices and are holding out until the higher prices return. Sit tight old friend.....and enjoy the Festival of Lights.

find a dealer that has them for sale as junk silver. A few years ago I was able to pick them up for $2.50-$3.00 each. Now it is alittle higher but still alot under $11 each

I'd love to go but I have to be traveling on those Sundays unless maybe we can squeeze it in to return to the city about 3:30 or so. I'd like to take a kid as well, but the big event in the next week.

3:30 is fine, I try to get to the show no later than 9-9:30, I'm done by 12-1, easy to have you back in Brooklyn by 3.

Actually I'm working upstate this weekend so I'm out. Sorry about that, but patients need me at the hospital.

List the ones you need and I can swing by my local coin shop and see if they have any in decent condition (xf+?). They sell 'em at bullion. I'm not rich but I can see what I can get ya.

I agree with Speedy, just stop by a local dealer and ask to look through their junk silver bin. All dealers have them.

    Ruben,

I'm about to make you buy a car you big silly.

Found a GREAT local dealer not too far from me here in Jersey, you know, home of the chosen people. I didn't go through his Franklins but he did have a box of them, he was selling Walkers in the junk box for $4.30 each so I would imagine Franklins were the same.

Don't know how many are AU at that price tho, but certainly VF+ attractive coins. Honest people too.

I have decided, you need to buy a car. And you live in Brooklyn, home of the "We'll take you to the auction for $199" guys :)
