I believe the general consensus suggests that particular combination of words just spoken was not demanded and henceforth unnecessary.

Bro, I didn’t ask anyone’s opinion as far as what value$$ the coin is worth....only reason I mentioned the eBay listing is because some one on this post saw the coin listed on eBay and mentioned it first.

A lot of these can be found when roll searching if you examine the coins edges. My opinion is that this may have been caused by the blank cutting process or maybe it got stuck in a slanted position in the feeding tube.

I'm wondering why the upset mill did not remove the marks.

It's not on a Type 1 Blank, IMO.

Those are not 'cut & tear' marks from
    the blanking operation.

It's some type of PMD, but I'm not certain
what caused it. I am certain, based on what
I see in the photos, that it was not struck
that way to give that appearance on the edge.

First of all, that is the "edge," not the "rim."

Judging from those pictures, I would say that the coin was struck is a worn-out collar that had some eroded grooves in it. The grooves left raised lines on the coin.

IMHO, a bit extreme but not very interesting as a collectible.

I think this coin has questionable color. Does anyone agree with me that it has been cleaned?

It would be really funny if the person who purchased it were to join CoinTalk and asks what kind of mint error they have and would it be valuable? :hilarious:

The OP could point them to this thread and highlight all the wonderful advice she was given . . . . .

    Funny, @jedijackie hasn't been on since Sunday . . . . . .

Well, no mater what, it sold and the OP is happy. I'll certainly keep my eye out for other eBay sales from this OP.

Late as I may be to this game, I was looking for the term for a fat round rimmed Lincoln and came across this one. This Coun has what are called Ejection Striations. I had a couple once and Mr. David Lange, may he be at peace, explained it to me. I don't recall the definition 100% but has to do with the Coin getting a little stuck/tight in the chamber prior to being kicked out.
