    (that seems to be the default grade for Morgans)

    The thing I like about VAMs (other than the coolness factor of unusual errors, clashes, and die breaks) is the very real possibility of finding a 5 figure coin "hiding" in plain sight.

    There's definitely some smudginess in the field. But, pretty much 0 of these were kept in ideal conditions over the last 14 decades. Who knows what funkiness was in the mint bags alone? I don't suspect any chemical shenanigans here,.
