Picked this one up at auction last week - medalet celebrating (prematurely) the defeat of Napoleon by Britain and her allies, in this case Emperor Alexander of Russia. BHM 810:

I just got this early Indonesian coin that is based on the Chinese copper cash coins with the iconic square hole, but the sultanate that issued this coin had a funny habit of making the center hole six-sided instead. This coin was actually listed as Japanese online so I was glad to get it. It has been suggested that the Ja character on the reverse (can hardly see on my example) stands for Jayakarta Mint, the only other main port ruled by the sultanate at the time.

Recently back from PCGS if that counts. Graded MS62! Been looking out for one of these for awhile now and a nice raw one finally came along.

LOVE that reverse design. These are very hard to find nice, so you got a nice one there! Congrats!

Picked this up a few weeks ago. It's stainless steel, so extremely difficult to photograph (steel is so lustrous, the lighting is very difficult). The reverse pictures Saul (Saint Paul) on horseback at the time of his conversion to Christianity. Not a rare coin at all, but difficult to find already slabbed for a reasonable price.

Sure enough, the package reappeared in a different region, and eventually made it back to me. Very happy to have the coin at last.

Another win - finally completing my date run of Threehalfpences - this 1837 being far and away the most difficult to get:

Here's a new acquisition as a companion piece to my 1924 ruble, and it also fits into my blacksmith coins thematic set. I love the design of these early soviet coins.

Rob and I have horse trade many times , so when I spoted this lovely vf. Vickie 1880 H dime, I sent him a pm ,and purchased the 1880 H Vickie.
Of course when you do horse trade Rob always throws in a little extra.
My extras an 1939 dime ,as well a 1941 Newfoundland dime.
No doupt all have been dipped at one time..like half dimes you find have been dipped to remove heavy tone and sometimes the luster.

I won 2 lots in yesterday's CNG 177 sale. Both were for the opening bid so that made me happy.

These all added up to 1 dollar total for the lot. seems good in my opinion. The half centavo coin seems like it was a steal. 20200925_013733-0.jpg 20200925_013811-0.jpg
