Defending an accusation of denigration by refuting the claim that you used the word “counterfeit” while calling his wares “crap” may not be effective, but it certainly is funny! Lol

 

Given the zeal of your posts, I wasn’t sure you would accept the short version.

 

And you are mischaracterizing my series of comments as an attempt to prove his crap is counterfeit...I was intending to bring forward the information that would help me determine if it was so. It's not libelous to call something crap. It is libelous to call something counterfeit.

 

I think by clarifying what DOES constitute the definition of the term "counterfeit," you were through implication and deductive reasoning, calling it such.

I think you have me confused with the other guy. All I was trying to do was point out that calling a guys product “crap” is indeed denigrating. And as it turns out, hilarious as well.

I don’t think you realize how much entertainment you have given me tonight. You can call his stuff crap all you want. I won’t try to stop you, I have no dog in this fight.

 

One final point of clarification before I drop off to sleep.

You dislike his artwork but make no further claims that they are illegal, immoral, or fattening . . . .

One man's trash is another man's treasure. This goes for all his detractors.

I don't currently own any of his pieces, but am trying to figure a way to afford them. Maybe I never will.

I'd like to own an original Norman Rockwell as well, what's your opinion on his work? Magazine covers? He's no artist, right?
