Not the British mint though is it.? I've not seen it advertised and I doubt its very popular, probably a money making thing directed at gullible Americans having the Mayflower on it. But hey, its bi-metallic in a way
If you are getting business change I doubt they would give you 500 coins instead of 500 notes. Probably $490 in mixed bills and $10 in $1 coins. $1 bills have on average 42 months shelf life, coins last for hundreds of years as we know. It would make financial sense to produce coins and get rid of those greasy dirty green and wrinkled $1 bills.
The thread is about Bi-metallic coins. You keep giving out wrong information. Admitted your mint slabbed was right but the wording was wrong. So about the Bi-metallics ?
So you can't provide any information on your allegation that there are major problems with the new bi-metallic coins.? Quote; Bimetallic costs more, and GB has had huge issues with dollar coins being counterfeited to say the least
lol. Literally replaced their pound coins from to many counterfeits and you’re trying to now say bimetallic doesn’t cost more to produce? If you really were a “bobby” I certainly hope you put more effort into investigations. Anyways good day think what you want makes no difference to me. Sorry for trying to have an intelligent conversation
I never said, "you’re trying to now say bimetallic doesn’t cost more to produce", you did. The question is the "Counterfeited " you mentioned. You know the Bi-metallic £1 coins that you say GB has huge issues with, to say the least. Although you said they were Dollar coins. So whats it to be, ? huge issues or not.
Not what I said, I said they've had huge issues in the past and will at some point in the future. My fault again for trying to have a conversation. I'm going to ignore you now and really hope you were lying about being a bobby if this is the best you can do
You don't give up do you. Your post #3 is clearly seen at the beginning of this thread. I don't lie about what I used to do, why should I. Yes please ignore me.
For those that care about actual issues. Bimetallic coins cost more to make hence the comma making a different statement where GB has had huge issues with their pound coins (dollar coins for those not familiar) to the point that massive amounts were faked and they had to pull them all from circulation for a new kind. It's always sad when conversations get derailed by such nonsense but it is what it is
Back peddling. It was estimated that about 2.5% of 1.6 billion were faked. They did not pull them all from circulation, they were gradually changed over a period of months. they can either be exchanged for new ones or deposited into your bank account. I have around 40 in BU in my collection. However that was not the discussion, you clearly stated that GB had huge issues despite your comma. You also said "MUCH easier to counterfeit than bills and the same thing is going to end up happening with the new ones" which is wrong. Just give up digging yourself into a deeper grave and quit calling people liars.
Nope, even with cost of materials at zero, cost of manufacturing is 1.1 cents apiece. So they need a material that costs less than ZERO. 400 in twos and 100 in dollar coins. Everyone seems to forget that we make $2 bills. And if we stop making ones the production of twos will rise significantly.
This is what they do. Looks like they found a forum where they haven't been banned. They are always right. When you show them they are wrong, they deflect and start arguing about something else. When you stop taking the bait, they'll remember and follow you to a different thread and start a new argument. They had like 10k posts on CCF before the moderators finally had enough of it.
Lol Many people that care more about facts then just being friendly and trashing the TPGs to fit in end up getting the boot from there. There's a reason why most of the best posters are long gone Fortunately here you can block people so thanks for the "contribution" lol
To be fair, I think I'm a heck of a lot closer to getting banned here by moderators than on CCF. Lol. CCF is boring though and not nearly as easy to post photos or find topics you posted on again. I enjoy the challenge on coin talk forum and opposing opinions and people that stand by their opinions also. Anyways my opinion the moderators are much more active on CTF than they are over there.
I wouldn't really disagree with that lol. The website functionality here is much better for sure in my opinion and do enjoy you can actually challenge opinions without getting banned
