What is your reason for this, what about this coin appears to be a fake? I see no tell tale signs of either type. Plus, this is not an overly uncommon coin...so what is your reason for calling it fake?
The surfaces are just fine my cam sucks. The bottle was detroyed, and I'm not a bottle expert. I have taken it to a few dealers and they all say its real, But if you say its fake then it must be fake. Have a nice day
I have seen a bunch of these. The only thing different in the two pictures is the condition of the coin and possibly the lack of a period (hard to tell in the OPs pics). :thumb:
You post a Pic of a proof coin and you want me to compare them to a raw coin that was found in a freaking bottle 20 years ago.
Isaiah , if you tell someone their coin is counterfeit give the person some valid reasons , ever hear of pitted dies , give some diognostics , I think the coin looks fine . rzage
Hey ppatt, great find! Please don't be turned off of this grea forum by Isaiah. He says everything is fake...that is everything except for his trade dollar that he got from China, LOL! Please ignore him.
Yeah, I'm sure someone cast a counterfeit (that shows no signs of being cast) put it in thin green bottle and buried it.
