    Folks,

I need your honest opinion on grade and value for this Seated Liberty Half. Ignore the handwritten grade on this flip to the best of your ability. It was determined and written by a youngster that didn't know the difference between a weak strike, bag marks, and honest wear.

I really considered sending this one off for certification, but a local buyer is exceedingly interested.

I don't want to sell a MS64 or better coin for AU pricing.

What say you? I can remove it from the flip and get better photos tomorrow. This one has crazy good luster.

I am fairly certain that I see cleaning hairlines on the fields.

I think I'm seeing what you're seeing. I'll take it out of the 2x2 tomorrow to verify.

Given these are in fact on the coin, what net grade would you assign for valuation purposes?

Looks AU, but I’m not sure how heavily discount cleaning does in these type of coins

    I'm thinking AU Details Cleaned.

That coin had been cleaned. It's an AU, details coin. Personally, I'd avoid it.

Not being contrary, but I've got to post better photos or a video. The fields really look like mirrors, almost proof like.

These photos don't show that. The motto over the Eagle shows the quality of the raised images best.

Sometimes photos are hard to capture what the eye sees.

I took some additional photos this morning. I don't think it's as "special" as I was hoping. I couldn't get a good setup for doing a video.

Here are a couple additional shots. Hoping to sell this one this weekend, and a few others. Not worth holding off and getting this one, and the others, certified methinks.

I see something more than just some dulling in fields from circulation. I think that it has been cleaned and probably won't get a straignt grade. I would guess that's worth somewhere around $100.

The first images were better. The second set of images hide the fields and the true color of the coin.

Haven't gotten to the meeting yet. I thought it was going to be this weekend, but it never materialized. I'm thinking we were in the $175 - $200 range, at least that is what was in my head.

    Unrealistic?

A USB cam wont make a difference here...a good point and shoot would be a better choice, a USB is more a scope for finner work not full obv.or rev. Shots.
As for the 77 pass cleaned detailed
