I just have to laugh at his constant "rare" mantra...when mintages of his goods are in the scores of millions.

You don't, and Mike the Mouth points this out vociferously as he tells you how rare these are...yeah, sure.

These are not rare. Never will be. Emergency issue? What emergency? The mint shut down to avoid it's staff from getting sick. The mint is back online and could punch out millions of these coins. As stated before if it gets taken out of it's slab there is no way to tell the difference between the P & W coins. What's going to happen it you drop the slab and the slab breaks. Can you just send the broken slab and coin to get put into another holder? I would have to say no.

Then you're out the premium you paid for the (P) slab.

Something … art, bananas, coins … that is exchanged in a free market between willing sellers and buyers can’t be overpriced or underpriced. For me personally, the coin alone has to say it all. Doesn’t matter what the slab or seller states … mint, date, mintage sequence, day of release, shipwreck, previous owners, etc. If it can’t be determined by looking at the coin itself, it’s just fluff and not worth an extra billion-issue, worn zincoln.

Ethics! And, there can't be more than 240,000 accounted for because that's all they minted.

Marketing strategy that of course makes no cent's.

While you could argue the "emergency issue" part that I believe NGC was the first to do is marketing, the P and W are not the same and that is not marketing

How are they different, other than where they were minted?

It happens because there are people that buy into the sales pitch. If there is a market there will be a product that is made up out off thin are. People are buying labels more than they are buying the coins themselves. That is a sad thing to me and not doing any good for the hobby.

I just this morning heard an ad on the radio from one of the big bullion dealers (which I won't name, but they are well known) pushing these coins. The price was not mentioned, just a toll free number to call. The trouble is, many folks who hear these ads are unaware of what the prices are or should be and will buy them...now I know which bullion dealer to never buy from....

Amen, brother! Been a terrible year for me . . . and many others.

I seem to remember something about a fool and his money . . .
