I have a 2011 Native American dollar graded ANACS and attributed Missing Edge Lettering. I was curious as to how much it is worth? Thanks, Ed
"Spotless" means nothing. I assume it is missing all of the lettering. If so, it comes down to the grade and condition of the coin. You didn't say what it graded, but if you found it in circulation, then photos certainly have a big effect on what it may be worth. "Buy the coin, not the slab"!
I have several coins with missing Edge Lettering. It's only worth what a collector is sorts is willing to pay for it.
Well I tried. Re-entered the OP # again and got the page and report. Posted the link in a new window and it worked for me. So here I'll try again..... https://www.anacs.com/Verify/CertVerification.aspx?cert=6149078 IF that doesn't work for you, go to ANACS PAGE and enter his number. That's about all I can tell you. It did say no pictures available.
Now doesn't that just beat all, an "almost" three thousand dollars error, very rare at that; just think and a "very rare freshly graded" at least it's not freshly minted. For me the true error would be to purchase that thing with borrowed money. Maybe I'll rethink my position second Tuesday of next week.
Thanks for all the help with this coin. Maybe some of you can discover a way off the couch and become active for the people who do take this hobby seriously.
