    You know, I had the same opinion until I ran across a thread discussing the "W" mint mark West Point quarters. Now I am looking at ALL modern quarters, searching for that elusive "W" . . . . .

    Yet another "rabbit hole" . . . . . .

    Somebody will buy it off eBay. I used to be that "somebody" back when the state quarters were first introduced. I cannot tell you how many New Jersey quarters I have with this exact (similar) "error."

    Missing letters, missing reigns from the riders hands, missing brain from the buyer, . . . . wait, I digress.

    Anyway, post it up on auction for a buck+ shipping. You might get your money back + a little after all the fees . . . . .

    Just one village idiot's opinion.

    They don't bother to attribute such minor issue. You would be wasting money if you send it.
    I'm being honest.

    It's a greaser causer by junk on the die. Very common and not worth grading.

    The guy on the right is named Worf and he's a Klingon. He's from the planet Klingon and he has overcome all obstacles and befriended Capt. Picard and Commander Riker. He's a strong character to the series and a welcomed one. Haven't you ever watched Star Trek, The Next Generation? There's no ambiguity, no jokes to be the butt of or anything like that. Does that make sense to you? And being new has absolutely nothing to do with it. You posted the picture and I commented, all in fun.

    I haven't seen anything from you that would get you the boot. Just read the rules and you'll be fine. :)

    @AdamKilledAbel ,

    The Star Trek facepalm meme was posted in reaction to your plan to spend the money to send in these State Quarters for certification AFTER being advised that they are just like any other quarter in a vending machine.

    One posts facepalm memes when the incredulity of the statement goes beyond a simple "head shake" . . . . .

    That is all.

    Don't leave before you post up that coin from 1270 a.d. . . .

    Is it US or foreign?

    Could not be US. The first coins were issued in 1652, authorized by the Massachusetts General Court. The United States Mint was founded in 1792...Spark
