That's a nice bunch of hammered coins! I'm getting into these types more and more...sometimes it's hard to find a good example within a certain price range...but it's worth the wait when you do find that perfect coin. I think my next pursuit is to find a decent 6-pence of Elizabeth I for under $50. Looks like someone may have tried to turn that Edward I into a half-penny at some point in it's life! I also like your Hungarian denier...I can barely make out the Virgin Mary and Infant Christ on mine!
The last 3 I did not even remember buying I found them while looking for something else LOL I know what you mean about the price factor
Couple more to add here today Henry III 1216 - 1272 Cut half Penny Samuel on Cantaburry type 7a Edward IV 1461 - 1470 Ireland Halfpenny sun and rose well clipped LOL http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view_enlarge.aspx?id=948296 http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view_enlarge.aspx?id=948297
Recieved a couple more this morning both cut halves :kewl: one I know the other is one of two Kings LOL John 1199–12 or Henry III 1216–1272 Silver Halfpenny Able of London Class 5c or 7a Henry III 1216–1272 Short Cross Cut Half Nicole of London Class 7 or 8
The first one I think is John 5c...Here's why: I can make out "AB" "NDE" on the reverse, so I get Abel on London. Abel only struck John 5c and 6b and Henry III 6c and 7a on London. You can rule of Henry because the 6c has ornamental lettering, and you can rule out 7a because the A on the reverse does not come to point below the square top. Now it gets harder, but the 5c example I'm going by in SPINK has the R directly under John's beard, while the John 6b's R is to the right. (too bad the X is missing, that's a dead give away.)....but I think you have John
Thanks Jimmy that is very helpful, I realy need to get a more detailed book LOL I agree Cheryl they look good to me as well
When I first read this, I had to wonder whether you had new coins to show or if the title was merely a comment on your physical state.
A few more for the collection, unfortunatly one broke in the mail (yep it is very thin) but the vendor instantly refunded me and told me to keep the coin so many thanks to CatfacePaul on Ebay. Henry III 1216-1272 cut half penny Long cross class 3b Henry III 1216-1272 cut half penny Short cross Able of London type 7a Edward III 1312 – 1377 2nd coinage halfpenny London Unfortunatly broke in the mail

Recieved a rather nice one this morning :kewl: Henry III 1216–1272 Voided Longcross Penny Henri on London Class IIIb Spink 1363 Slightly 'cupped'
Believe me, it will be slow. I've been putting together a Henry III set in decent condition (good very fine as a minimum) for quite some time; and they are hard to come by in the scarcer classes. Best of luck.
Nice coin that Henry III. I was looking at a Henry III at Clives shop that I might buy... similar quality. Some of those old hammered portraits have a bit of a haunted look.
