What’s your beef? I lived in Los Angeles for 5 years. If anybody said that LA wasn’t a safe city I would 100% agree with them. is this a special New York attitude? Yikes.
Yea. Seller said it wasn’t his fault and I agree, so I’m out $25 and 10 coins. It’s not the value of the coins, it’s the fact that it happened that hurts the most
Earl, I actually would be interested in knowing if there were statistics for rates of reported mail theft in different cities (and countries), although of course not all mail theft is by postal employees. Much more importantly, I would hope that most dealers sending coins internationally would know better than to write "coins" on the customs declaration. They might as well write "please steal me" on the envelope. There are so many other things one can say other than "coins" that are still technically truthful. Like "stamped metal rounds" and the like.
I’m interested too. I don’t know much about mail theft as 8 years and over 1000 items later, This is the first negative experience. I’m going to be “biased and stereotypical” here but if I can get items from random places like Albania with no problem, it’s probably not Germany’s guys jacking my stuff. deapite not being offered a refund or any compensation, I still implored the dealer (who has a bajillion feedback) to use a different descriptor for coins. Whenever my family send things to family in China, were well aware that their postal employees have first pick in any goods that come through. We’ve come up with creative ways to make “dehydrated milk” into “powder health product” and things that don’t raise any eyebrows in the host country.
I this the postal should partially be responsible why would you deliver an empty packyin stead of notifying the customer there's been a theft involve with you mail .but idk that's what I would do .
