    This is a neat piece of paper. As stated on the front, it's a Greenback for Excelsior Boots. It's denomination is either $3.00 or $5.00 depending on which type of boot you buy. It is very crisp and it's from Athol, MA.

    A neat advertising item.

    Those were the days of good old fashion advertising. Nice example (even if the back hurts my eyes to look at it. LOL).

    I think so. It's the first one I've seen so I bought it. I've never really heard of them but I am familiar with businesses doing this for advertising purposes. On coins, it's quite common around the Civil War, before, during and afterwards.
