    It would have been gem grade, but a few prominent hits to the cheek. Otherwise, great luster, and nice detail to the coin. Solid eye appeal. MS 64-64+. I hold back on 65, as TPGs are notoriously tough with 1879-1882 San Francisco mint issues of those dates.

    yes, that is indeed a 1979s morgan dollar. it's a coin i'd be happy to own.

    This era PCGS was pretty conservative. I believe this to be a Generation 3.0 slab

    Yes it is a generation 3, and I think, undergraded. Nice coin!
