Thank you for your help. I will get a copy of Red Book and then I won't seem quite as foolish with some of my questions. Merry Xmas O'Keefe

No questions are "foolish" okeefe. We all come here to learn and you have to ask questions in order to learn. PLEASE don't hesitate to ask any question that you need answering.

Uh....Bill. Mike hasn't even been here to answer this guys question.
This was an old thread and back then Mike answered the first guys question--then just a few days ago a new member bumped it back on top with a new question and Mike hasn't been here....so to say that Mike is 1000% correct...might be 1000% wrong as this new guy doesn't have the same type of question.

    Dear Jason Craton,
I am delighted to read that you don't mind questions from a beginner. I did get a copy of the Guide Book of U. S. Coins (red book) by R>S>Yeoman today and have started reading it. It will definately be a work in progress for this one but it is interesting. Is there a book of Mint errors or a magazine one can get to study on? I hope Bill, Speedy and Mike don't get upset when they find out I a female!!!!

LOL!!! We have run into that "problem" before, and I think we will make it :D
Welcome to CT--it seems pretty rare to find a lady that collects coins!

    Hey speedy,

I've been at these forums for awhile and I still don't check when the thread started. I see that the subject was switched and just didn't respond acordingly. I hate to say thus but I had a DUH moment:)

Anyway, welcome Okeefe from an O'Rourke:)

    Have Fun,
    Bill O'

We all have those times---just thought you would want to know in case you wanted to comment on this new coin. I for one always enjoy reading your thoughts....even if sometimes I don't understand what you are saying :D

    Dear Speedy,
My great Grandpa was the collector and we spent many hours together looking at all the coins he had collected. When he passed, I recieved the collection and it was over whelming to realize how little I knew. I put it in the bank and went to learning about the coins and paper money. I have a long ways to go. You guys will probably get more questions than you care for by time it's over. I will figure out how to make pictures to post for you to look at.
