These were released today -- anybody else order any?

I got 1x proof and 1x uncirculated. Contemplated the coin/medal set, but not being a fan of medals ended up passing on it.

Nope. I stopped buying from the mint. Too inflated on the prices, which drop when sold by individuals a few months later.

I hear the President pardoned Susan B. Anthony today posthumously. Even I did not know she had been arrested and jailed for trying to vote.

The coin is nice enough, but the medal in the set option (to me, anyway) suks.

I agree; not a fan of the medal. Feel like they could've done something cooler..?

Placed a proof and uncirculated dollar on my Mint wish list to build up the next order.

I’m still angry over not getting my reverse proof eagle to check out quick enough so I’ll pass on this one

And at the risk of being political, and now the Democrats are trying to disparage Anthony.

Not likely, at least not for the Unc version, the proof yes that might be down that low.

Honorary or "posthumous" pardons are worthless.

The design for the dollar isn’t too bad actually.

I still don’t plan on getting one, though.

I’ve heard this said for 30 years, and while it’s true, those coins are not really equivalent to those bought from the mint, at least those that are bought when they are first available. When the coins are sold originally, a large number of them are bought by dealers and flippers. These buyers examine the coins for probable MS70 or PF70 grades, and either return the rest to the mint or flip them on eBay if they are in demand. The coins you can buy on the market later on for lower prices are rarely going to include any of the coveted and valuable 69 or 70 grade coins that you really want.

70's probably not, but i've picked up a lot of 69's for WAY below their issue price. I'd rather get them in their OGP, those are even cheaper. I don't give a darn what they "grade" anyway. And eventually they are all going to end up in Danscos anyway.

    Talk me out of it.

    I'm part of the Anti-Modern-Commemorative-Club.
I used to buy a LOT of mint stuff, both U.S. and Canadian. I have a LOT of modern commems in my collection. But I stopped. Big time.

These days, they're overpriced and ugly. Often the subject matter is just dumb. If it's not dumb, it's poorly executed and pricey. I can buy a nice Seated Liberty dime instead.

But my spider-sense is telling me this coin is going to sell poorly. Maybe really poorly. So buy an uncirculated dollar? Take a flyer on a really low mintage? Nah, that dime is looking better...

Thanks for nothing, folks. I do NOT wish to buy modern commemoratives any longer. Especially ugly, overpriced silver dollars like this one, even though it has all the signs of being a really low mintage. I asked you guys for help and no one reached out. So today, I am the owner of a really expensive uncirculated example... btw, the brim of Corporal Klinger's hat looks very much like a die break, I had to do a double-take to determine it was simply a design element.

This one? Bought mine on the aftermarket, close to spot.
