1897 Dual tone morgan

    I can't get a pic up just yet, sorry. But after enough searching I found the coin that looks exactly like mine on the internet: an 1897 morgan silver dollar, except mine has a gold head and gold lettering and stars. The rest seems like its silver or white gold. Can't find anything else that looks like it on the internet.

    Colorized coin probably. Cant tell without pics though!

    Yeah, it sounds like a coin that was colorized in some way after it left the mint. If that's the case, the coin is only worth the metal value...any collectible value was destroyed when it was colorized.

    ok here's the pics

    I took the coin out of the necktie thing it was in, and I noticed it had a thick layer of lacquor or something on it.
