If you bought a nice common date you could probably get one for around $30 or close to it. Tougher date will cost more.
Take your time and the correct one will show up at a decent price. I'm still looking for the 6 Franklin's I mentioned earlier in this thread, a 1911-weak D $2.50 Gold Indian and 2 Peace Dollars. I've been looking for the right one for over 3 years now, soon to be 4. It will happen and I refuse to rush it. Patience is a virtue and I'm like an oyster.
Wow, you have patience that I don't, LOL! I tried to buy some patience at Amazon but they are out of stock.
Opinions please How does the MS64 at the following link compare to the one in the OP of this thread? https://www.sarasotanumismatics.com...c-franklin-half-dollar-pcgs-ms64fbl-73703543/ Does it look like FBL's to you? Can you read the writing on the bell? Thanks
Great info, thank you! This 63 coin i'm showing isn't one of the proof coins, it's just regular Franklin. The marks I believe are little specs of tissue or paper towel on lens of the cup type magnifying glass i'm using after trying to clean the lens. I take the pics with my cheap cell phone over that magnifying glass to take pics. Its the best I can do for now. I would think it's hard to take pic of my proof coins with the plastic? I have a question on your 2nd paragraph. The special care of the proof sets can't have full steps on the nickels and the dime full torch and the bell lines on the Franklin? Why is that if they are select dies? and the reason.
Oddly enough, I'm trying for the same exact set. You're a bit ahead of me and I have some raw coins that should qualify, but won't get around to sending them in until I get closer to complete. Good luck!
My goal is to have a complete set of Franklins with those parameters. I'm down to six coins. I'm doing the same thing with Peace Dollars. I'm down to two but I'm having difficulty in finding them at a decent price. I refuse to over pay. Best wishes on reaching your goal. Be patient and only buy the coins you want and be willing for it to take years.
