1926 Greenland 25 Ore

    More uncharted (and cold) waters for me folks. I picked this up today at my favorite price I might add.

    I found it interesting once I found it in the Krause book. Seems in 1940 these were pulled from circulation and sent to the U.S. to be "holed" to avoid confusion with the Danish 1 Krone.

    Now, I know all World coinage has some history behind it, but the odd pieces like this are what seems to attract me most.

    Wow, my World collection is growing by leaps and bounds!

    A very beautiful design.

    How much did you give? I know "Greenish" coins can be a bit expensive.

    My favorite price is nothing and that's what I paid.;)

    Not real high in numismatic value but I would have been willing to pay $5 or so. I found it in a lot of coins the boss bought a few weeks back (that I'm STILL sorting). I inquired and he gave it to me. Nothing like catching him in a good mood.
