I found this in a coin roll from my bank. I'm baffled by this one. It look like it's rusting?
    The crack across the center....????

It looks like a rim to rim lamination crack but I can´t enlarge your thumbnail images to be sure. Wait for others to give their opinion

Looks like a rim to rim combination crack and lamination. No added value but nice to keep.

We basically said the same thing at the same time. Great minds?

I have a new microscope and scale coming in tomorrow, so I'll have some better detail on the next coins I post. Thank you for the help?? Appreciate it!

Oh cool!! Thank you, I will check it out asap! I like the die cracks. There aren't many people that find them as neat, though, correct?

For someone who does a lot of searching it gives more stuff to pick out of the batch. I like having them.

Ok, I tried to Google what this means, but haven't really found anything. Can you break this down a little for me, please?

Duh...rim to rim die crack, I finally figured it out!!
So what makes it look rusted? When metal detecting I've came across some while environmental damage, but I haven't seen any coin that looks rusted?

Depending on the 'scope you get make sure you don't zoom in too far. The images will become pixellated and we won't be able to make out any details

It's nothing too powerful, the one I had was a cheap one and wouldn't zoom in or out and the stand broke. It was frustrating .
